Who Pays

Unless DDP is agreed in advance, international shipments move under DDU/DAP terms. The receiver pays import duty, VAT/GST, and related charges before final release.

On DDP bookings the shipper covers those import charges and we invoice the actual amounts after clearance.

Documentation

• Commercial invoices must list contents, quantities, realistic values, and currency.
• Packing lists should match weight, dimensions, and pack type.
• HS codes, origin certificates, and licenses are required when the goods or trade lane demand them.

Holds and Abandoned Cargo

Customs can inspect or hold cargo independently of our network. Missing paperwork can create storage fees.

If goods are refused, uncleared, or abandoned, the sender remains responsible for duties, storage, and return freight.
